VMTA DISTRICT AUDITIONS

Students compete in one of four levels determined by the school grade the student is in at the time of the next VMTA Fall Competition (which usually occurs during late October or early November following the auditions). Entrants must pass the VMTA theory and sight reading tests at the designated level for their school grades. Three compositions representing three different periods will be performed, and both winners and alternates will compete at the VMTA Fall Convention.
